Battleguard Sartura down
After just 3
attempts, we got her down, still some learning to be done as we finished
with only a few ranged DPS'ers alive, but a pretty interesting and fun
fight. Congratulations to Tix and Austra on our first AQ40 loot worth
getting!

Chromaggus and Nefarian down
Chromaggus went down
first try tonight, and after a few attempts on Nef, we made a couple
adjustments and took him down with only 3 deaths(all due to the 20% zerg).
Overall a very good night, Somna got the tanking neck off Nef, Timos got the
sword, and Zulzorander and Kaketra got a nice double Stormrage drop giving
both of them their 3 piece bonus. Recruiting is mostly closed at this
point, but if you feel you truly have something to lend the guild, please
feel free to submit an application in case we may ever need your class.

Ebonroc and Flamegor Down
After clearing out
the trash (which we lost more people on than the actual bosses), we 1
shotted both Ebonroc and Flamegor without much trouble. We then headed
to take on Chromaggus, which for a first night of attempts went pretty well.
We got him to 19% and one of our mages unfortunately hit 5 debuffs owning
our main tank. Should be able to head back monday and take him down
though, everyone had some very good learning experiences and got the kinks
worked out.

Broodlord and Firemaw Down
We made sure to get
our tanks every sort of stamina buff we could minus flasking them up, after
clearing to broodlord, he went down easy, only lost 3 of our lesser geared
tanks, and never lost aggro to a non-warrior, overall a pretty easy clear.
After that, we took out a few lab packs, and took down Firemaw. Took
us 3 tries to get the line of sight just right, and made a few tweaks to the
strategy, but overall, great job to tanks on their taunts, and healers
lasting long enough for us to finish him off.

Ossirian and Skeram Down
We finally took the
effort over the weekend to give Ossirian a few solid attemps and got him
down. Then, on Monday we headed back into AQ40 to take care of Skeram.
After a few wipes, a really nasty shadowbolt/thunderclap trash combo, and
some tweaking we took him down. Grats to Tyrantello on the hybrid
tanking neck, and Oledad on the paladin boots.

Vaelastrasz Downed
Vael went down on
our second night of solid attempts. Once the tanks got their
transitions down we picked up the UBRS to help out a bit, and took him out.
Grats to Starlin on 3 piece Bloodfang, and Tix on his second piece of
Dragonstalker. Camilyna also got the mana regen neck! We took a
late night attempt at The Prophet Skeram as well. Overall it went
well, just needs a little fine tuning now. On the 31st we'll return to
AQ40 and BWL to attempt Skeram and Broodlord.

Razorgore Downed
We got Razorgore on
our second series of serious attempts tonight, in only a 35 man raid, we
made it to phase 2 with 34 people alive, and dropped him the first time we
got him there. Most of our raiding members are still in blues for the
mostpart, and we are still recruiting as shown by only 35 people being in
attendance for this kill. If you'd like to join us, please apply on
the forums.

Ragnaros Downed
Ragnaros went
down for us tonight for the first time, just barely 2 months since the guild
was founded, and only long enough in MC for enough of our raid to get
honored to put out the runes. We did take advantage of the UBRS buff,
but with it, the run went VERY smoothly, we finished Ragnaros a little over
a minute after he re-emerged and lost only 6 people of our 38 man raid.
Onyxia is also easy mode now, scoring our third kill with a 32 man raid and
only 1 death.
June 19th, 2006
Onyxia Downed
With a raid almost
entirely composed of people who had never fought Onyxia before, we were able
to down her on our third try. Each attempt, we got one phase farther
until we finally got her down. Congratulations to Tendertoes, and
Aglaia on your Tier 2 helms, and to Somna on improving your tanking gear
with the trinket!

Molten Core cleared through Golemagg
We finished what we
could in MC, still awaiting reputation gains and quest completion for our
aqual quintesences. It was a pretty smooth run, and we actually got
golemagg on our first try with only a death or two in his final enrage at
the end. Most people how have the reputation to get their water to
douse the runes, so we should be making an attempt at domo and ragnaros
before long.

First Molten Core Run
We did our first
legitimate run into molten core with a raid that started with just over 30
people, and ended up filling as the night progressed. We downed
Lucifron, Magmadar, and Gehennas all on our first tries.
Congratulations to the druids in the raid who all got some leg pieces, to
Arell who got a quick strike ring, and to Grauwyler who got himself his epic
priest gloves! We are still recruiting, so if you'd like to join us,
please refer to the forums and apply!

ZG is on Farm + Kurinaxx
ZG is on farm status
now, a few clears in a row we've gone start to finish with ease, and our
last clear downed all the bosses on our first try. Kurinaxx is also on
farm status for us, and has given up his dagger and robes for Dweezy and
Killain in the last 2 kills. Congratulations and thanks to all those
that helped on our runs. Molten core is now just a few more solid
members away, so if you'd like to apply to the guild, please refer to the
forums!

Jin'do and Hakkar down!
We came with
many potions, and the plan to over buff, but decided to give them both a few
tries before using all the consumables. Turns out, we didn't need
them! Jin'do went down, followed shortly there-after by Hakkar.
It was a great night of raiding for all those who attended, congratulations
to Arell on your Hakkari Warblade complete set! Honorable mentions
include Kallika with our first heart, Tix with the Eye of Hakkar, and
Tendertoes with Jin'do's staff!

ZG Through Panther...1st Try
With a few new
members on this ZG run, we decided to keep pushing, and try to clear through
the panther boss in a single night. Things went very well, we killed
the tiger aspect boss our second try with much ease, and then cleared the
rest of the way to the panther boss. Once in the room, the strategy
was explained, and everyone pulled off the encounter perfectly. We
even had a priest eat the first mark, and still breezed through the
encounter! For those of you thinking of joining us, please visit our
forums and make a post in the application forum.

AQ20 & ZG Partial Clear
On our second
organized raid we had much success. The plan for the night was to kill
Kurinaxx first, and then head to ZG and clear the first two bosses as most
people were on a time constraint. Kurinaxx went down, and ZG was
cleared quickly, so we actually downed the first 3 bosses! Thanks to
all our members who participated, and for those of you who would like to
apply, we are still in open recruitment, so please head to the forums and
submit an application.

Caelestis Founded
Founding members
Divination, Somna, Alauda, Binatang, and a few friends get Caelestis off the
ground. The focus of the guild will be on PvE accomplishments. Beginning
with 20-man ZG and AQ, we hope to quickly progress into 40-man instances as
Caelestis grows in number and skill! We envision that the guild will be
comprised of a dedicated group of skilled gamers all wanting to partake in
High-End PvE raiding and the concentrated effort to make WoW a more
enjoyable experience for everyone in the guild. In raids, no DKP will be
used. The main goal of Caelestis is to offer a fair opportunity for all
people to benefit from their raiding experiences while at the same time
working together to build a stronger guild. With this in mind, we hope to
progress quickly while creating a stable and active core group of players.
All class loot decisions will be determined by the Council Members. In some
cases, where a member has recently been a bit unlucky, or too lucky, loot
may be assigned directly to a member of the guild so that all benefit
equally. We as your Council Members are all excited and look forward to
meeting all who wish to join us in our attempt to offer a more enjoyable
guild and raiding experience. Welcome to Caelestis!
Can you seriously believe they didn't add me here? Jeez -Alex |
