Once upon a time, there was a totally bitchin group of friends that called themselves family; they were known only as Caelestis

Main Character Name: Elinthia
Age: 21
Class/Spec: Rogue, I switch depending on the fight (Combat/Assassination)
Armory Link: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-shee ... n=Elinthia - My MH should be Nighttime with Berserker, and OH should be Liar's Tongue with Berserker. I logged with a fishing pole on.
Trade Skills (Professions) : Mining/Engineering

WWS reports available? I will be working on a WMO report tomorrow after the reset. I had never recorded any myself until I stumbled onto the WMO site last night.

Will you be able to raid from roughly 8:45pm- 12:00am (PST server time) on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday? Yes

Have you read and do you understand the "*** Before You Apply ***" post? Yes

What do you do with your time in WoW when not raiding? I tend to fish, cook, quest, and farm.

Will you read our forums before raids to stay abreast of guild developments? I am a forum goer so more than likely.

Would you agree to use ventrilo and any add'ons (omen, bigwigs) that the guild uses for guild instance runs? I already use Omen and Vent so I'm 3/4 of the way there.

What is your talent tree breakdown, and what is the reason for your choice of talents?

Combat - Generic HnS following the age old rogue method of use the best that you have. I've tinkered with the idea of other specializations but this turns up the best numbers. Combat is strictly better in my opinion with my gear set currently and has a better time transitioning between things.

Assassination - Just a generic Mutilate build, nothing special. Assassination in my opinion is great and shines on fights where you have boss uptime, but my gear set has too much Arpen for me to consider using it all the time. When I do raid with it I pull up great numbers but I feel like I could be getting better, I also lack a good second trinket for this spec.

What is your role in raids and how does a good player excel at this role to be considered strong at their class? The only role I have in raids is to do damage and not die. If there is another rogue present, dump Tricks of the Trade on him. I like this question specifically because I can answer it and vent a little. I see a lot of rogues who do not use a spreadsheet or even idps, this is the key factor in playing a rogue in my opinion. The apps the rogue community has at it's fingertips are fantastic for figuring out the best possible configuration of gear/gems/enchants. Spending the time to configure everything, and doing your homework, is how you become a better rogue.

Would you agree to respec your talents, if asked? If asked to go Sub in 3.3.3 I'd be pretty excited actually.

Are you exalted with the Sons of Hodir or an inscriptionist?
Exalted with the Sons.

How would you rate your ability to take, at times harsh critisism?
Do you take it and learn from it or are you a someone who will /gquit as soon as someone says anything in your general direction? I've never really been criticized harshly as I tend to be on the ball with things, but if it does come around I listen with open ears.

What do you know about Caelestis, and why do you want to join our guild as opposed to others? Pure happenstance that I found the guild, it was on the top of the forums when I refreshed so I figured it wouldn't hurt to apply. You guys not only matched the times I am looking for, but also seem to be a pretty populated/busy server. I've applied to different guilds with PST raiding times, hopefully this one works out because it fits perfectly with my work schedule and isn't on some backwater server. It also seems to be a serious guild that gets things done and I like those kinds of guilds.

Why do you think you are a good fit for Caelestis, and what can you contribute to our guild? I tend to mesh with practically everyone in this game, save some of the unsavory pvp'ers on KT I have met. I'm a nice guy, I crack jokes, I like longs walk on the beach, so forth. I contribute humor outside of raids, help, useless commentary, and a lending hand in anything involving BC content. In raids I provide a serious attitude, understanding, and of course preparation. I'm also the kind of player who just likes to raid, I'm not in it for the purples, and wipes really don't bother me.

Previous guild(s) on Proudmoore (or other servers) and reason(s) for you leaving. Please also let us know your raiding experience in these guilds:

<Owns a Worgen> - Kel'Thuzad (A)
I joined this guild as a pretty much fresh eighty with the great dreams of Naxx and Ulduar. I geared up pretty quickly in i226 and then got bored. I ended up pugging most of the stuff I wanted to do because we couldn't get enough people to raid. I eventually brought a warrior from another server to KT where I carried people through T7 stuff and helped them in heroics. Yet, despite my work, still people wouldn't raid. I called it quits and stopped doing anything remotely helpful and began to do my own work on my rogue. They eventually merged with a guild called <Mercenary> and I dropped out promptly after the merge.

Ever since I have been looking for a decent raiding guild, but KT is overwhelmed with rogues and dps in general. So it's hard to find a guild that isn't completely casual that can use a rogue.

What are your current computer specifications? What kind of internet connection do you have? I currently have an up to date machine (AMD Athlon II X2 Callisto Black/2GB Gskill/ATI 4670) that I use, and I am building a newer machine. Either way the only problems I ever have is Ony25 whelps and the problem is remedied by lowering the particle slider and cutting out combat text. I have cable internet and no problems with latency.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself? I tend to write a lot in applications but I guess that is for the best. I'm pretty sure however any walls of text I would normally write are covered above. One thing however, is that I know I am not the most geared person, but I like to raid within guilds. Pugs are not my thing, I guess I am still in the BC mindset where pugs are pretty much crazy. The group accomplishment, loot, and overall "Me and my friends crushed X" feeling just outweighs any purple pixels I could get from a pug. I honestly had more fun killing Kel'Thuzad with my old guild than any of the raids I've done since the disband.

It's also good to mention that I do not mind sitting with a group b and raiding within that. I'm not in any hurry to jump into any major raids. I know there are upgrades for me in lower tiers of content, hell I think Uld25 has pieces I could use over what I currently have. But any schedule is an upgrade from my current hiatus of nothing and fishing.

Either way, thanks and good luck with ICC guys!

Have you run ICC at all? Is this an alt? Your gear seems a bit low at this point to me, and you have none of the achievements for the instance. Please let me know if you have any experience in ICC.

Thank You
